Canadian Independence Day today, or so I hear. maybe it was yesterday. yesterday was the Pride Parade, which I watched from in front of Charlie's on Broadway with Karyna, Amie, Elsner and Becca. yay pride and all that, but did the parade really need to last 3 freakin' hours? did they really need to let Budweiser and Ikea submit trucks (or in Ikea's case, a car with a piece of furniture stuck on top) as floats? christ. I was also saddened by the lack of marching bands. didn't parades used to have a lot of marching bands in them? still, it had one major advantage over the Fremont Solstice Parade, which is that we only had to walk four blocks to attend. I'm looking forward to the Capitol Hill Block Party for more or less the same reason.

my goodness. there certainly are a lot of TV/TS's in seattle.

and I wanted to rant for a while about e-vites, but I'll get to that later, I guess.
