sudden leonard cohen realization

I fell asleep at a friend's house earlier this evening and then had to wake up to drive home
and haven't been able to get back to sleep since then, even though I'm completely exhausted
and have to be at work by 7 am for a very, very long day.

so I've been kinda bummed about my little insomnia bout, until I reached a realization a few
minutes ago:

it's four in the morning, the end of december.

so...like...I'm writing now to see if you're better.

also:
seattle is wet but I like where I'm living.
there's hipsters on ballard ave all through the evening.

I can see abi's awake.
