good advice

this is good advice not only because it suggests making the best of things that really blow, but also has the implication that the things which piss us off and really blow are basically pretty ludicrous when we look at them. it's been observed , by kurt vonnegut among others, that all humor is essentially black humor. that is true, to an extent. but to another extent, it is also true that all humor is cheese humor.
cheesonade. the cool refreshing summer cheese drink.
and so here we are...yesterday I was cheesed off, today I'm drinking an ice cold, coagulated glass of the lactic loveliness.
I won't go into specifics because I already did that once and probably shouldn't have, but I will say that people sometimes do the wrong thing for the right reason, and other times do the right thing for the wrong reason, and other times are just jerks but only in the limited context of some particularly jerky thing that doesn't contaminate the rest of their lovely, outstanding substance.
I'm still going to cambodia, but it's a destination now, not a default. and I'm leaving behind people I love and care for, even if they're a little cheddary around the edges sometimes.
I'm just gonna go pour me another glass of that stuff now.
