prediction
Jul. 22nd, 2008 03:01 pmI'm tired of always making predictions in private conversations and then having them come true but no one knowing I predicted it, so here's a try at going on record. watch this one be wrong.

mccain is going to pick bobby jindal as a running mate.
by the end of august, mccain will have retired as much as possible from the spotlight, leaving jindal to run the actual campaign.
the press, with some nudging from the mccain campaign, will frame the race as obama vs. jindal with it just pretty much accepted as a matter of conventional wisdom that mccain will be, from day one, about as aware and hands-on as reagan in his second term. this will be treated as a selling point for the mccain-jindal ticket rather than a flaw.
the mccain campaign will make every effort to set up some sort of debate where the presidential nominees and vp nominees all participate in the debate collectively. if this can't be arranged, mccain will do everything possible to avoid debates entirely.
