well, it's about time to pull up stakes here at the mortgage company.

Sharon and I are going to be in Michigan from Oct 24-31, so I'm trying to decide whether to work right up until the friday before we leave, or whether I want to get while the getting's good and minimize the amount of time I have left to spend here.

the first and last day of each month are the most important ones in this industry, so there's a certain symetry and wisdom to giving notice tomorrow or monday.

on the other hand, it was a bad month and my notice might be one piece of bad news too many.
on the other hand, if I give notice now I can give 'em three weeks to find someone new which would be better than only 2 weeks.

From what you've been telling me, a month from now might be a worse week for them, and the week after that still worse, so don't wait for the sun to shine and the grass to grow on their ass.
