Oct. 2nd, 2006 04:01 pmGave notice.
Decided on doing it today with 2 weeks notice but offered them a 1 week extension if they're having a hard time finding a replacement.
Boss lady says they'll probably take all 3 weeks, that they're very sad to see me go, and that I can count on some very favorable references.
Iacta alea est.

Date: 2006-10-02 11:39 pm (UTC)1. something on the Seattle side of the water that I can commute to in less than 30 minutes by foot or bus
2. something not in the mortgage industry
3. something at UW
#1 is non-negotiable. #2 is almost non-negotiable (salary would have to be at least as high as it is now and job would have to not leave me feeling dirty at the end of the day). #3 seems like a reasonable possibility, but I'm told their hiring process sometimes runs into multiple months, so might not happen if something that meets criteria 1 and 2 comes along first.
