Had that idea long ago. If i had the wherewithal, i'd code it up. In fact, i'd write weblog software that sits on top of INN instead of some bozotic MySQL abomination plus PHP. My journal would exist as a hierarchy of livejournal.users.ronebofh.* newsgroups based on tag.
I've so fallen by the 1337 internet wayside. Long gone are the days when I had even so much as a separate usenet client and didn't just slurp the sugary ease that is google groups. I also don't get what the kids are doing with all this RSS stuff.
it all seemed far more critical when I worked at an office and had 8 hours to fill with in-theater pirated films in 900 part .rars and debates about foreach() v. for().
